Age Groups We Serve
YAMS serves children from 6 weeks through 11 years old. Our center provides thoughtful, age-appropriate care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children, with a focus on safety, learning through play, individualized attention, and strong family communication.
OPENING: YAMS currently has one open spot for the infant room starting July 13, 2026. If you are interested in this opening, please contact Bethani Gerhartz at bethanig@yams-org.com.

Our youngest children are cared for in a nurturing, secure environment with flexible routines that reflect each child’s individual needs and home schedule. Caregivers provide plenty of one-on-one attention through cuddling, reading, singing, movement, and hands-on support as children begin to explore the world around them.

Preschoolers are given daily opportunities to play, learn, and build confidence in a way that feels engaging and natural. Through art, music, movement, sensory activities, language-rich experiences, and hands-on exploration, children are supported in their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.

School-age children have access to a supportive space where they can study, relax, stay active, and participate in age-appropriate activities. Our program is designed to give older children a balance of structure, independence, and opportunities to connect, move, and unwind throughout their time at YAMS.
